This project was developed as part of my university studies in English literature. I challenged myself to illustrate a storm scene that draws from two main references: one Romantic poem, "Lord Ullin's Daughter" (1809) by Thomas Campbell, and one Romantic painting, "Snow Storm" (1842) by J.M.W. Turner. I aimed to create a visual interpretation of the motif of the storm-tossed boat in a way that combines Campbell's written and Turner's visual poetics, which was an intensive but also most instructive experience.

Big thanks go to Kristen Curtis, Andreas Etter, and Simeon Schaffner for their fantastic feedback!
